Most of my life I've had a passion about health and fitness. For me it's about total health which is why I earned a degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State. While living in San Diego I also had the opportunity to work with Todd Durkin, owner of Fitness Quest 10, who has been named twice as trainer of the year. Todd taught me how to work with elite athletes as well as "everyday folks". He encouraged me to build on my Bachelor of Science degree with a National Strength and Condition Association Personal Training Certification.
I am inspired by people who have healthy goals in mind such as strengthening a particular area of the body, improving posture or balance, or dropping inches and overall toning. Rehabilitating from a major back injury taught me a lot about mental and physical nutrition and that surrounding yourself with caring, happy and motivated people makes all the difference in the world. I enjoy the positive connection I have with my clients from High School athletes to retired grandparents.

I'm Terry Acosta III, I have been an Ace Certified Personal Trainer for over 6 years. I started training in high school for sports and quickly grew to love it. I especially loved learning how the human body works and how the body adapts to exercise. I then attended the University of Colorado, where I earned a Degree in Integrative Physiology, I interned in the physical rehab department and met my personal trainer.
My trainer Brach Posten, taught me more advanced techniques in performance, nutrition and recovery. Brach has done research at National Health Institute, UNLV, ASU, CU and worked with Team USA Olympic lifters. He also convinced me to competed in the USAPL a drug-tested powerlifting federation. During my career there, I was on Team USA, won multiple national championships, set numerous national records and all an all american.
Since the USAPL, I left the heavy lifting and I turned to more functional training to keep my joints and back healthy. I specialize in rehab, as well as sports performance. I have clientele ranging from pro athletes to first timers. Helping people achieve their goals is my number one priority. It's not what I want, it's what you want. I can't wait to meet you, and get you to your goal.
